this is about empowering women in third world countries, many of whom are widows with children and facing the prospect of begging to survive due to their cultural situations. They are often outcasts, sometimes spend time in prison to avoid being stoned to death, face honor killings, female genital mutilation ( circumsisions with a jagged piece of glass at the age of 8-9 years old) and many other atrocities that are the "norm" for the world they live in. But only for the grace of having been born in a different country we too could have a life like that.
